How you should use it: Take 2 tablespoons of mustard oil in a pan. Take 1 garlic clove and chop it into bits. Fry the garlic clove pieces, along with the oil, until they turn brown. Let the mixture cool. Remove the pieces afterwards. Massage your knee with it in circular motions. Repeat this treatment 2 times everyday.

2. Turmeric (haldi) as a natural treatment for knee pain

Turmeric is the golden healing powder that can wonderfully relieve your knee from pain. That is because it has curcumin. Curcurmin is a chemical that is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Turmeric also prevents rheumatoid arthritis, one of the major causes of pain in the knee.

How you should use it: Take one and a half teaspoon each of turmeric powder and ground ginger. Add both of these to a cup of water. Then boil for 10 minutes. Separate the liquid and add half a teaspoon of honey to it. Drink this solution twice daily.

3. Apple cider vinegar as a natural treatment for knee pain

How you should use it: To heal knee pain with apple cider vinegar, you will need 2 teaspoons of it. Mix these in 2 cups of filtered water. Drink this mixture sip by sip throughout the day. Within 2 to 3 days, your knee will recover completely. You can also use the vinegar in one more way. Fill a bathtub with hot water and add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to it. Allow your knee into the solution for 30 minutes. Repeat the remedy once everyday until you no longer feel the pain.

4. Eucalyptus oil (nilgiri ka tel) as a natural treatment for knee pain

The next on my list of knee pain remedies is eucalyptus oil. Eucalyptus oil, or nilgiri ka tel, is known for its pain-relieving properties. These properties can be very benefitting if you want to get rid of the pain in your knee very soon. The oil produces a cooling sensation to ease the pain.

How you should use it: You will need 2 tablespoons of olive oil (jaitun ka tel) and 5 to 7 drops each of eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil (pudine ka tel). Mix all the three oils together and massage onto your knee every time it aches. Try not to wash off the oil immediately after the massage. Allow it to penetrate into your skin.

5. Lemon as a natural treatment for knee pain

Lemon is one of the most beneficial home remedies for knee pain, especially for the one that emerges due to arthritis. As you may already know, lemon has citric acid in it. This acid works as a solvent for killing the knee pain.

How you should use it: Take 1 fresh lemon and cut it into several small pieces. Then take a cotton cloth and wrap the pieces with it. Dip the cloth in slightly warm sesame oil (til ka tel). Then place the cloth on your knee for 10 minutes. Repeat this home remedy 2 times everyday.

6. Fenugreek seed (methi ka beej) as a natural treatment for knee pain

You can use fenugreek seeds, or methi ke beej, as one of the most powerful home remedies for knee pain. But do you know what makes them powerful? The seeds have anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant properties. Also, these are warm in nature. With their warmth, they help you in dealing with the pain.

How you should use it: Take 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. Soak these in filtered water overnight. Drain the water in the morning and eat the seeds directly. Doing this home remedy once everyday will be beneficial for you.

7. Ginger as a natural treatment for knee pain

There can be several reasons for pain in your knee. It could be due to arthritis, an injury or may be too much pressure on your knee muscles. Whichever be the cause, ginger will help you to get rid of the pain effectively. You should definitely try this remedy if your knee is swollen.

How you should use it: Take 1 tiny piece of fresh ginger root. Crush it well. Then add it to one cup of water. Bring the cup to a boil for 10 minutes. Remove the crushed pieces of ginger. Add 1 teaspoon of honey and half a teaspoon of lemon juice to the cup. Drink 2 to 3 cups of ginger tea to heal the pain. If you don’t like to drink ginger tea, you can use ginger oil to massage the affected area of your knee. Massage twice or thrice a day to get satisfying results.

8. Cayenne Pepper (laal mirch) as a natural treatment for knee pain

It might shock you to see cayenne pepper, or laal mirch, as one of the home remedies for knee pain. Truth be told, this pepper has capsaicin, the stuff that makes your mouth feel hot. Amusingly, this is also the element that makes cayenne pepper a pain reliever. It produces a warm sensation when applied over the knee.

How you should use it: Take 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper powder and one and a half cup of warm olive oil (jaitun ka tel). Mix the two together to gather a paste. Apply this paste over your knee 2 times every day. Repeat this remedy for a week to see amazing results. On the off chance that you don’t have olive oil, I have another method for you. Mix one and a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder in 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Immerse a clean cloth in the solution. Then place it on your knee for 20 minutes to reduce inflammation. Repeat this remedy once daily. If the pain is very chronic, you can use this remedy 2 times as well.

9. Cold compress as a natural treatment for knee pain

A cold compress is an easy way to reduce pain in the knee as well as any swelling around the region. When your blood vessels feel cold, the flow of blood will reduce to the damaged area. Reduced blood flow will minimize the swelling too.

How you should use it: Take 2 or 3 ice cubes and wrap them in a thin towel. Place the cold compress on your knee for 15 to 20 minutes. Repeat this home remedy three times a day until you get relief. As an alternative to cold compress, you can also use a bag of frozen peas.

10. Epsom salt as a natural treatment for knee pain

Epsom salt is very beneficial for health because it has magnesium sulfate. Magnesium sulfate is the element that helps in the reduction of knee pain. It relaxes the muscles naturally and removes additional fluid from the tissues. When the excess of fluid is removed, inflammation as well as pain in the knee reduces.

How you should use it: Fill a bathtub with hot water and add one and a half cup of Epsom salt to it. Stir the two well. Soak your knee in this solution for 15 minutes. Repeat this remedy once everyday to eliminate the pain.
