I will advise you to elevate your head at least 6 inches up when you sleep. Simply, increase the number of pillows. Lying down immediately after eating can be dangerous for the health of your body. Doing so will make it difficult for your stomach to digest. So, try not to lie for 3 to 4 hours after eating your meals.

And even when you are having your meals, don’t aim for giant morsels of food. Take small bites, eat slowly and chew them really well. Eating this way will give your stomach time to digest. If heartburn hits you often, then you should consider eating foods that are not high in acid. Try to avoid citrus fruits like tomatoes and lemons. And most importantly, eating 3 to 4 hours prior to sleep may not be best for you during heartburn. So, watch what and when you eat.
