1. 10 basil leaves (tulsi ke patte)
2. 5 cloves (laung)
3. 1 cup of water
4. Half a teaspoon of sugar

What you need to do:
Mix the basil leaves, cloves and sugar in the cup of water. Boil this solution for 10 minutes. Then drink it when it cools. Repeat this remedy twice daily.

2. Turmeric powder (haldi) for runny nose treatment

And turmeric, or haldi, is back to amaze you with yet another favour for your health! The strong antibacterial properties of the herb will not only help you in stopping a runny nose but will also prevent it from bothering you again.

What you need:
1. 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder (haldi)
2. 1 cup of warm milk

What you need to do:
Mix turmeric powder (haldi) in a glass of warm milk. Drink turmeric milk before you go to bed. This will also help you in having a sound and comfortable sleep.

3. Eucalyptus oil (nilgiri ka tel) for runny nose treatment

What you need:
1. 1 handkerchief or 1 tissue
2. 6 to 7 drops of eucalyptus oil (nilgiri ka tel)

Take a handkerchief or a tissue. Put 6 to 7 drops of eucalyptus oil (nilgiri ka tel) on it. Now inhale this handkerchief throughout the day. You will see a big difference in the symptoms.

4. Ginger for runny nose treatment

6. Mustard oil (saraso ka tel) for runny nose treatment

Mustard oil, more commonly known as saraso ka tel, contains antiviral properties. These properties will give you instant relief from a runny nose. And since mustard oil is edible, replacing your regular oil with it will also be beneficial for you.

What you need:
1. 1 or 2 drops of mustard oil (saraso ka tel)

What you need to do:
Heat a few drops of mustard oil (saraso ka tel) to make it slightly warm. Then sit back and with the help of a dropper, pour one drop in each of your nostrils. Repeating this remedy 2 to 3 times will be enough for clearing your nasal passages.

7. Honey for runny nose treatment

1. 2 teaspoons of honey
2. 1 glass of warm water

8. Salt water for runny nose treatment

It goes without saying that salt water is the easiest of home remedies for running nose. These two ingredients are present in kitchens and easily available too. A salt and water solution will help you to remove the irritation in your nose and lighten the mucus.

What you need:
1. One and a half teaspoon of table salt
2. 2 cups of distilled warm water
3. A dropper

What you need to:
Take one and a half teaspoon of table salt and 2 cups of distilled warm water. Then tilt your head backwards and put a few drops of the solution into your nostrils with a dropper. Inhale gently to allow the solution into your nasal passage. Doing this a couple of times a day will give you instant relief.

9. Steam for runny nose treatment

Steam is, perhaps, the home remedy for running nose your mom would be adamant for. This is the simplest way you can clear the excess of mucus in your passage.

What you need:
1. A big bowl
2. A towel
3. 3 to 4 cups of water

What you need to do:

1. 1 or 2 chopped and thinly sliced onions
2. 1 or 2 cups of water
3. An empty cup

Take the onion slices and boil them in water. Simmer for at least 5 minutes then remove from the flame. Pour the solution you have prepared in the cup. Drink this onion tea and also inhale the vapours at the same time. Repeat this remedy 2 times a day until your nose gets healed completely.

12. Oregano oil for runny nose treatment

1. 2 to 3 drops of oregano oil
2. 1 glass of apple juice

What you need to do:
