Indian Gooseberry for premature grey hair

Indian gooseberry, also known as amla, is a fantastic solution to the premature greying of hair. Moreover, amla can also help in overcoming dull hair and hair loss. The extremely sour fruit is a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants. That is why it can bless you with anti-aging benefits. While consuming this fruit has been an old practice in India, several home remedies have made the use of this fruit for application purposes too. Here is how you can use it to get those black and beautiful hair back.

Method 1:

Take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a pan. Then boil a couple of pieces of Indian gooseberry or amla along with it. I will suggest you to use pieces of dried amla for this remedy. But just in case you can’t find dried amla pieces, you can also get your hands on amla powder. Boil the pieces until they get charred. Allow the oil to cool down. Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair for an overnight. Rinse it in the morning thoroughly. Repeating this home remedy two times a week will be enough to keep your hair healthy and black always.

Method 2:

Take 1 Indian gooseberry and peel it. Crush the pulp well. Take 1 tablespoon of this pulp along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Use this mixture to massage your scalp and the length of your hair. You can prefer to keep this mixture on your head for a night or for an hour at least. Use a mild shampoo to wash your hair afterwards. This method will facilitate the growth of healthy hair.

Curry Leaves for premature grey hair

It is true that these natural flavouring agents can restore the health of your hair! Curry leaves are just too amazing to double up the darker pigmentation in your hair. It makes up for a great hair tonic surely! You will be really surprised to know that curry leaves can activate the melanin in your hair. Melanin is the pigment that gives your hair the natural colour. When melanin is present in your hair in great amounts, you can easily prevent the greyness.

Method 1:

Take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Then boil a handful of freshly picked curry leaves along with it. Keep on boiling until the leaves become charred. Massage your hair with this mixture for 3 to 4 minutes. Then allow it to be up your head for another 30 or 45 minutes. Rinse your hair afterwards with a mild shampoo. Repeating this treatment once or twice a week will be just too amazing for the health of your hair.

Method 2:

You will need 4 curry leaves, 4 neem leaves and 1 teaspoon of yogurt. Put these ingredients into a mixer and blend them until a fine paste is obtained. Apply this mask over your scalp and massage it gently. Then work the paste through the lengths of your hair. The paste will take 10 to 15 minutes to dry up. Allow the paste to settle on your scalp and make sure you don’t touch your hair until the paste settles. Once the paste has dried, wash it off with the help of any shampoo.

Henna for premature grey hair

The next on my list of home remedies for premature grey hair is henna. Henna is another amazing natural hair colorant that can tackle your problem of grey hair. But if you thought henna can be used only for coloring your hair, you should probably read further. If you start using henna for your hair, you will not only make them darker but add more strength and lustre at the same time.

Method 1:

Take a handful of henna leaves. Grind these finely to form a paste. Then add to this paste 3 teaspoons of Indian gooseberry powder (or amla powder), 1 teaspoon of coffee powder and 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt or curd (dahi). Spread this paste evenly on your hair. Allow the paste to dry up naturally. Then give your hair a wash with a mild shampoo. Follow this process once every week.

Method 2:

I also have another method that is simpler and can be performed with a few ingredients. Boil 4 to 5 henna leaves in 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. You can also use mustard oil in place of coconut oil, as per your preference. Continue to boil the leaves and the oil until they get charred. Now give your scalp a massage with this. Keep it for an hour and then wash your hair.

Coconut oil for premature grey hair

Surely, I cannot miss coconut oil as one of the most awesome home remedies for premature grey hair. It can really do wonders for you hair. But do you know how? Coconut oil has fabulous moisturizing properties. That is why it makes up for a great moisturizer for your hair. Going further, the oil also stimulates the growth of your hair, protects them from infections and bless them with a layer of luster. And because it is charged with so many antioxidants, it helps you to reverse your grey hair too.
Method 1:

Take 3 teaspoons of coconut oil and 3 teaspoons of lemon juice. If the length of your hair is really great, you can increase 1 teaspoon of each. Stir the 2 ingredients really well. Then massage it over your hair and scalp. Then leave your hair untouched for an hour. Shampoo your hair afterwards. You can follow this home remedy once every week.

Method 2:

For this natural treatment method, you will only need 1 ingredient and that is coconut oil. Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and rub it over your scalp for 2 to 3 minutes. Then let it work through your hair strands as well. I will advise you to do this treatment at night so your scalp can absorb all the health benefits of coconut oil while you sleep. Wash your hair afterwards.

Onion juice for premature grey hair

The second on my list of home remedies for premature grey hair is onion juice. Do you know what makes onion juice a brilliant vegetable for restoring the natural colour to premature grey hair? Researchers have recently found that grey hair are most commonly caused by too much of hydrogen peroxide building up on the base of the hair follicles. This decreases the natural antioxidant compound known as catalase. With onion juice, you can boost a greater production of catalase.

Method 1:

Take 1 onion and peel the outer covering. Then crush the onion in a blender. Allow the juice to collect in a glass along with the crushed pulp. Apply the juice onto your scalp and your hair strands. Leave it over your head for as long as 30 minutes. You can also keep it for an hour for more effective results. This method is very much safe for using everyday.

Method 2:

Take 1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of freshly prepared onion juice. Now apply this solution to your scalp and hair. Leave it on your head for 2 hours at least. This effective natural treatment method will improve your blood circulation and nourish the hair follicles too. Repeat this remedy 2 times every week for smooth and black hair.

I am sure these remedies will give you back the hair you were once proud of. In fact, I owe the beauty of my hair to these remedies too! These have been passed on from my grandmother to my mother and from my mother to me. So, get set to be beautiful again in no time!
